Drugs & Medical Device Injuries

RESPONSIBILITY FOR HEALTH-RELATED PRODUCTS

All of us rely on companies to create drugs and devices that are safe and reliable. When these manufacturers repeatedly prove that the need to make money is more important than public safety, however, someone has to stand up for the rights of everyday consumers. That's what THE SIPES LAW FIRM does.

DEFECTIVE DRUGS

When you get a prescription from a doctor, is that drug safe? A more important question may be whether the drug is harmless.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, "safe" means that the benefits of the drug outweigh the risks for the intended patients. A defective drug is one that has more risks than benefits.

Most of us have no way to know what is safe and what may do more harm than good. You don't know when the risk to you will outweigh the benefits. So you have to trust your doctors, the pharmaceutical companies and the medical device manufacturers.

When that trust is wrong, you need to receive just compensation for injury.
LEGAL DUTY OF MANUFACTURERS

Medications and medical products are supposed to help give us a higher quality of life and better health - not make us worse. However, not all drugs or medical products help. Some are defectively manufactured or unsafe and pose dangerous risks.

Drug and medical device manufacturers have a legal duty to make a safe product, test their products, meet FDA standards, and issue the appropriate warnings for any risks from their products.

Likewise, physicians and pharmacists have a duty to tell you about warnings and dangers from those products. If you have been injured by a drug or medical device, you may be entitled to compensation for your injury.
DEFECTIVE MEDICAL DEVICES

Medical devices are used to ease pain, help with disabilities, make diagnoses and save lives. When these devices have flaws, they can cause serious injury and death.

When you have a problem with a medical device (or the treatment received when one is being used), we are here to help determine what is causing the problem and who is responsible.
LET US HELP

There's nothing more valuable than your health. You need to take control and not blindly rely on doctors, pharmacists and the medical industry.

When you have questions, ask them. When you have concerns, state them. When you need more information, demand it. And when you have problems and need help, call THE SIPES LAW FIRM.
